Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in Hastings, Michigan is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, fixtures, and production tooling for high-volume manufacturing. You will read engineering drawings and CAD data to determine machining methods and sequences, and perform precision machining with manual and CNC tools.

The position requires a Tool & Die apprenticeship or 4+ years of toolmaking experience, plus proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship or 4+ years in Toolmaking.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, and technical specs.
• Experience operating manual and CNC Tool Room equipment with precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, molds, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Interpret drawings, CAD data, and specifications to determine machining methods.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, and related tooling.
• Perform precision surface grinding and complex component machining.
• Inspect tooling and machined parts for conformance to specs.
