Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with Tool & Die apprenticeship.
• Minimum 4 years Toolmaker experience or 8 years progressive Toolmaker experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, and technical documentation.
• Experience operating manual machine tools and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling used in high-volume manufacturing.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, and technical specs to determine machining methods and material requirements.
• Plan and perform precision machining, bench work, fitting, and finishing of tooling components with tight tolerances.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Inspect tooling and machined parts to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Diagnose tooling failures and implement repairs to minimise downtime.
