Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Toolmaker for our Hastings, Michigan facility.

You will build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures for high-volume production, interpreting engineering drawings and CAD prints to determine methods and sequences. Responsibilities include precision machining, setup of manual and CNC tools, surface grinding, inspection, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; apprenticeship in Tool & Die preferred.
• 4+ years Toolmaker experience or 8+ years progressive Toolmaker work.
• Experience in dies, fixtures, molds, and precision tooling.
• Ability to read drawings/ CAD prints and technical docs.
• Experience with manual tools and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and tight tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and detail orientation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling for high-volume production.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD prints to plan machining methods.
• Plan precision machining, bench work, fitting, and finishing of tooling components.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC tool room equipment.
• Perform surface grinding and assemble tooling components to spec.
• Inspect tooling and machined parts for conformance to drawings.
• Diagnose tooling failures and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized Tool Room and support improvements.
