Job summary

Saab West Lafayette is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 3rd shift to support tooling and manufacturing technology. You will ensure the production system has proper tooling, drive tooling improvements, and assist with installations of tooling capital projects.

Responsibilities include auditing tools, supporting tooling studies, and resolving tooling issues while aligning with Saab’s values. Competitive third-shift pay applies.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years of comparable aircraft manufacturing experience.
• Experience with tooling selection and applications in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate machining and measurement equipment and understand GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Provide support for tooling studies and application.
• Conduct performance testing for tooling and provide analysis reports.
