Saab West Lafayette is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 3rd shift to ensure tooling is properly supplied, maintained, and improved. You will serve as a link between tooling engineering and production, supporting tool audits and performance testing while helping implement new tooling projects.

The role emphasizes independent work and teamwork in a high-precision aerospace environment, with competitive pay and benefits, including overtime on weekends when required.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 2+ years relevant experience in aerospace tooling or manufacturing.
Experience in tooling selection, application, and basic design is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with GD&T is a plus.

Responsibilities

Audit and maintain tools in each assembly area.
Support tooling studies and tooling applications.
Conduct tooling performance testing and provide analysis reports.
Investigate and resolve tooling issues.
Propose new tooling solutions and assist with capital projects.
