Job summary

Saab West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift to support tooling and manufacturing technology within the production of aerospace components. You will ensure tooling availability, drive improvements, manage inventory and compliance, and serve as a bridge between the tooling engineer and the production team while upholding Saab's values and safety standards.

Starting pay up to $29 per hour, plus $2 shift premium, with opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years of related work experience required.
• 2+ years of aircraft manufacturing experience preferred (structural assembly or systems installation).
• Tooling selection, application experience in manufacturing.
• Understanding of GD&T and ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain tools in each assembly area.
• Support tooling studies and application.
• Conduct tooling performance testing and provide analysis reports.
• Investigate tooling issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure tooling compliance to aerospace standards.
• Assist assemblers with proper and safe tool use.
