Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Walker, MI-based manufacturers to identify a Tool Room Supervisor. You will lead tool room operations, oversee maintenance and calibration of tooling, and mentor a team of machinists, ensuring safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in a tool room with at least 2 years in supervision, plus strong CNC and GD&T skills. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a tool room.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with tool and die making, maintenance, and repair.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of skilled machinists and toolmakers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily tool room operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Manage the repair, maintenance, and calibration of all production tooling.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and equipment.
• Supervise and train tool room technicians, fostering a skilled and safety-conscious team.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to optimize tooling performance and design.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards within the tool room.
