Qualifications

• 5+ years in a tool room environment
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
• Proficient operating and maintaining machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, EDM)
• Strong understanding of tooling design, fabrication, and repair processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot tooling issues

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Manage maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tools and equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of toolmakers and technicians.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and procure new tools as needed.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize tool performance and availability.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
