Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a tool room environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience with tool design, fabrication, repair, and preventative maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of skilled toolmakers.
• Solid understanding of metrology and quality control principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train tool room personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, and machinery.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials, initiating procurement as needed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all tool room equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations and tool design.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tool room processes and efficiency.
