Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Charlotte, MI is actively seeking an experienced Tool Room Supervisor to lead tool room operations, supervise staff, and drive continuous improvement in tooling performance. The role focuses on maintenance, calibration, inventory control, and safety compliance across the shop floor.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, knowledge of tool maintenance, and familiarity with CMMS and 3D printing processes to support production engineering and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies.
• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage an inventory optimization program for tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tool room staff, including training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the tool room.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all tooling.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to optimize tool performance and design.
• Troubleshoot tool-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
