Job summary

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED with apprenticeship or training, or 3 years in mechanical or tooling roles, plus knowledge of CNC or industrial tooling systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with apprenticeship or comparable training or 3 years in tooling management in a heavy-duty machining environment.
• Knowledge of various machines and tools including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, taps or dies and hoists.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems, manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost-conscious production.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and align tools and modify systems on pre-set equipment per machining specs.
• Set and change tools in machining centers (MAPAL pads, standard tooling).
• Assemble and rework new, re-worked, and prototype tools for tooling crib operations.
• Assess tooling re-work capability based on attributes and requirements.
• Verify tooling quality by inspection, measurement, and testing against templates.
