Job summary

Dayton Rogers is seeking a Tooling Technician to maintain, repair, and build tools to meet customer specifications. You will operate CNC or conventional machines, shape and finish parts, and ensure proper fit and assembly while following OSHA standards.

The role includes testing tools, inspecting for defects, and loading materials in a 4x10 shift environment. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant experience and solid mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary certification and 3+ years of relevant experience a plus.
• Mechanical and machining knowledge required.
• Math and problem-solving abilities important for job tasks.
• Understanding of production processes and quality control.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Operate CNC or conventional machines to shape parts.
• File, grind, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
• Test tools and dies, inspect for defects, and make adjustments.
• Polish surfaces using appropriate tools.
• Load and unload materials and products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
