Job summary

Staffmark Group in Dothan, Alabama is hiring a Tool and Die Technician to design, build, and repair tooling to tight tolerances. You will program and operate CNC and conventional machines, read blueprints, and interpret CAD models to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaborating with a production team to keep lines safe, efficient, and productive during the day shift starting at 6 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in Tool & Die manufacturing and maintenance.
• Experience operating CNC and conventional machining equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD models, and tolerances.
• Experience with metals and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, modify, and repair tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges from drawings and CAD models.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment to tolerances.
• Assemble, fit, and troubleshoot dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Diagnose tooling and production issues to minimize downtime and defects.
• Inspect finished tooling and components to ensure compliance with spec and quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance on dies, tooling, and production equipment.
• Support TPM, LEAN, and Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor technicians and operators on tooling best practices and equipment use.
• Maintain accurate tooling records, maintenance logs, and work orders in ERP.
