Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in tool and die maintenance, machining, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and polishing or cleaning machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to inspect, diagnose, repair, and reassemble tooling components.
• Read and follow maintenance instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures when handling, installing, transporting, and maintaining heavy dies and tooling.
• Use PPE, lifting devices, and lockout/tagout procedures properly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform hazard prevention practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tooling to maximize performance and life of dies.
• Disassemble, repair, refurbish, and reassemble worn or damaged dies with hand tools.
• Operate specialized equipment to meet surface and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot tooling concerns and coordinate with the tooling team to restore functionality.
• Provide training to operators on proper care, handling, and storage of extrusion dies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
