Job summary

Gestamp, a global automotive supplier, seeks an experienced Tool and Die Maker for 3rd shift in Alabama. You will build, repair and maintain stamping dies in a high-volume environment, troubleshoot tooling, and support die tryout and quality validation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tool steels, heat treatment and welding.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve press-related tooling issues; implement corrective action plans.
• Set up and operate manual tool room machines (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Build, repair, modify, and maintain stamping dies to meet production requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment.
• Support die tryout activities and assist with part quality validation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool reliability.
