Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Tool Die Making 2 to lead a team within our Tooling organization in Clearfield, UT. This role oversees 5–20 staff, coordinates machining and tooling activities, and drives program performance with a focus on cost and schedule adherence.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or a master’s with 3 years, plus 2 years of prior management. A U.S. Government Secret Clearance is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience in manufacturing/aerospace/design/tooling.
• Master's degree plus 3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma/GED plus 9 years of related experience in manufacturing/aerospace/design/tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of 5–20 hourly employees, analysts and/or level 1 managers.
• Coordinate machining and tooling fabrication activities across programs.
• Oversee program and technical performance and provide objective directions to staff.
• Monitor risks and implement timely mitigation actions.
• Promote Lean, Knowledge Management, and best-practice sharing across the organization.
• Manage personnel performance evaluations, merit planning, and EVMS usage for direct costs.
