Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Manager Tool Die Making 1 to lead the Tooling organization onsite in Palmdale, CA. The role ensures tooling support for production transitions and sustained production while driving standardization and risk management.

The incumbent will guide a team, ensuring information and resources are available to perform at a high level and will engage in continuous improvement initiatives. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in manufacturing/tooling or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of prior management or leadership experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on tooling/manufacturing practices and drive process improvements.
• Provide tooling support for production transitions and sustained production.
• Establish and improve processes across the organization and program IPTs.
• Monitor risk items and ensure effective mitigation actions.
• Supervise Milling Machinists, Aircraft Equipment Expeditors, and Dimension Control Technicians.
• Travel up to 10% and support 10% extended workweeks as needed.
