Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Clearfield, UT, seeks a Tooling Manager 3 to lead the Tooling organization, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets across multiple projects.

You will oversee Tooling Engineering, Metrology, and Manufacturing support while guiding a ~50‑person team and driving long-range strategic tooling initiatives. This role requires a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in a STEM field with significant tooling/manufacturing experience and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment.
• 3 years of proven experience leading teams or projects.
• Ability to obtain and maintain final adjudicated Secret Clearance and program access as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of exempt Tooling Managers including Metrology, Tool & Die, and Engineering disciplines.
• Guide a management team of about 50 to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets and customer satisfaction.
• Develop long-range plans and strategies to provide affordable tooling products and services.
• Identify staffing/skills requirements, forecasts, and training plans.
• Hold CAM responsibility for site tooling activities and EVMS compliance for budgets.
• Collaborate with Aeronautics Systems Sector Tooling Management to implement best practices.
