Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Manager Tool Die Making 2 in Clearfield, UT to lead a team of hourly and supervisory staff across programs. You will develop statements of work, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and oversee tooling and fabrication support for production transitions.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budget management, and implementing Lean and process improvements while coordinating with multiple sites and customers in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience in manufacturing/aerospace/tooling.
• Master's degree provides an added advantage for leadership roles.
• High school diploma plus substantial related experience acceptable for some tracks.
• Experience leading teams and managing projects in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of 5 to 20 hourly staff, analysts and/or level 1 managers.
• Coordinate machining/tool fabrication across programs to optimize staffing.
• Own program/technical performance and provide clear directions to staff.
• Monitor risk items and implement timely mitigations.
• Drive Lean, knowledge management and share best practices across the organization.
• Manage performance reviews, merit planning and EVMS-based direct costs.
• Formulate capital asset plans to sustain the Tooling Machining Center.
