Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is connecting skilled Tool and Die Makers with Kalamazoo-area manufacturers. The role focuses on fabricating and repairing dies and tooling, interpreting blueprints, and operating multiple machine tools to meet tight tolerances.

Network opportunities are focused on long‑term fit and career growth. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, plus an apprenticeship or 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong blueprint-reading and precision measurement

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Troubleshoot tooling performance and part quality.
Maintain and repair production tooling and equipment.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling design.
