Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Portage-based manufacturers to identify skilled Tool and Die Makers. This role focuses on fabricating and maintaining dies, tooling, and fixtures, reading blueprints, and ensuring high precision in machining processes.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing setting, proficiency with CNC and manual machinery, and a solid understanding of metallurgy and measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; apprenticeship or technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Perform precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues to optimize production processes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and dies to ensure longevity and performance.
