Job summary

The Learning Experience – River Vale, NJ is seeking a devoted Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday. The role offers $17–$19 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

You will lead a warm, developmentally appropriate toddler classroom, support feeding, diapering, naps, and daily routines, and foster cognitive, language, and social-emotional growth while maintaining classroom records and strong family communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional childcare or early childhood education experience required.
• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Lead Teacher experience is a plus.
• CDA or ECE coursework is a plus, but not required.
• Familiar with New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging toddler classroom.
• Provide attentive, responsive care throughout the day.

Pay:

$17–$19 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking an experienced and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our Toddler Teacher creates a warm, responsive classroom where babies feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore. We're looking for someone who already has experience caring for infants or young children in a professional childcare setting and is confident supporting the unique routines and developmental needs of our youngest learners.

• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous professional childcare or early childhood education experience required
• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
• Previous Lead Teacher experience is a plus
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable with feeding, diapering, safe sleep practices, and individualized infant routines
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and confident leading a classroom
• Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
