Job summary

The Learning Experience – Newark, DE is hiring a Toddler Teacher for our Early Childhood Education program. Pay ranges from $17–$18 per hour and a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.

You will join a caring team dedicated to helping toddlers develop language, independence, confidence, and friendships. Responsibilities include creating a nurturing classroom, delivering the LEAP curriculum, supporting development across multiple domains, and engaging children through arts, music, and hands-on

Qualifications

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 are required certifications.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in toddler/daycare/preschool preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, engaging Toddler classroom.
• Implement L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Support language, movement, independence, and social-emotional development.
• Engage children through art, music, sensory play, and hands-on learning.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Maintain routines and positive classroom guidance.
• Observe development and communicate with families.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and follow Delaware licensing.

The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a caring and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our toddlers are busy developing language, independence, confidence, and friendships. We’re looking for a qualified teacher who can create a nurturing, structured classroom while turning children’s natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing Toddler classroom
• Implement The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Support language, movement, independence, and social-emotional development
• Engage children through art, music, sensory play, and hands-on learning
• Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
• Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
• Observe children’s development and communicate with familiesMaintain a clean and organized classroom
• Follow Delaware childcare licensing requirements

What We’re Looking For

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous toddler, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
• Must meet applicable Delaware childcare licensing requirements
