Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee Food Lion To Go operations at our Norfolk store. You will hire, train, and develop department associates while driving customer satisfaction and positive associate morale across all departments.

You will manage scheduling, budgeting, and performance, partnering with managers to handle fresh orders and out-of-stocks, and maintain high standards for safety, sanitation and service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be accredited by NRF or able to obtain accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manages Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct timely formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain efficient work schedules to meet online order traffic and minimize customer inconvenience.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stocks appropriately.
• Ensure proper handling of return-to-stock items, especially perishable goods.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and company procedures.
