Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a front end operations leader to oversee Food Lion To Go and related customer service initiatives. You will hire, train, and develop department associates, supervise performance, and manage schedules to handle online orders while maintaining service levels and store standards.

You will promote a culture aligned with Food Lion's guiding principles, support budgetary targets, and partner with department managers to ensure fresh, properly stocked items.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Manages Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise performance of department staff and conduct performance appraisals
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet online order traffic and minimize customer inconvenience
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with guiding principles and values
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stocks
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, prioritizing refrigerated items
• Role model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment management
• Understand and use company tools and systems (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, etc.)
• Ensure department appearance, safety, and sanitation meet standards
