Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a capable To Go Operations Lead to manage the Food Lion To Go program, including hiring, training, and developing department associates, and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction in a fast-paced store environment.

You will lead a dedicated team, coordinate with store leadership, and drive performance to meet budget and service goals while upholding safety and company standards. This role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management, training and formal appraisals
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order traffic and minimize customer inconvenience
• Provide leadership and motivation to promote a culture aligned with Guiding Principles and Values
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Proactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stocks properly
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially refrigerated/perishable items
• Role model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations
• Control store expenses through proper ordering, supplies, and equipment care
• Understand and use company tools like ACIS, scheduling, productivity, and business information systems
