Job summary

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Certified Food Safety Manager or willingness to obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management.
• Maintain effective work schedules for Food Lion To Go associates to meet business traffic requirements of on-line orders.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote company principles and strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Proactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stocks.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially perishables.
• Role model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and supplies management.
• Understand and use company tools and scheduling systems.
