Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level experience not required; high school diploma as minimum
• Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and meet safety and compliance standards
• Accreditation by a recognized food safety body or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Lead Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise performance, provide ongoing coaching and conduct evaluations for direct reports
• Create effective work schedules to meet online order demand and minimize customer inconvenience
• Promote a service-oriented culture aligned with company values and goals
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and proper stocking, including handling out-of-stocks and perishables
• Monitor expenses and drive budgeted financial and operating results
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and regulatory standards
• Oversee front-end operations, greet customers, assist with orders and maintain high service levels
