Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position requiring accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet on-line order traffic.
• Lead and motivate store teams to reflect guiding principles and company values.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stock items appropriately.
• Ensure quick, orderly handling of return-to-stock items, especially refrigerated and perishable goods.
• Provide exceptional customer service and solutions to meet expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and use of supplies.
