Job summary

Food Lion in Hilton Head Island is seeking a Food Lion To Go Operations Manager to oversee online order fulfillment, hire/train department associates, and drive customer service excellence. You will manage schedules, coordinate with departments, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies while delivering a positive, efficient in-store and online shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to obtain/maintain Food Safety Manager accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order demand.
• Provide leadership and motivation aligned with Guiding Principles and Core Values.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stocks.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially refrigerated items.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment care.
• Understand and use company tools (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, reports).
• Maintain department appearance, safety, sanitation, and quality.
• Possess scheduling, sales, wage, interviewing, training, and policy knowledge.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report incidents per procedures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adhere to company guidelines.
• Maintain security standards and complete CBT and training requirements.
• Recognize accomplishments and provide coaching to improve customer satisfaction.
• Meet physical requirements; support Front End operations as needed with customer service.
• Assist with greeting customers and assisting with online orders to vehicle.
