Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific functions.
• Certified Food Safety Manager credential or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Provide performance management, training, and regular appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules to meet online order demand and minimize customer inconvenience.
• Lead and motivate store teams to align with Guiding Principles and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure fresh orders and proper stock handling.
• Ensure proper handling of returns to stock, especially refrigerated items.
• Promote exceptional customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control store expenses through efficient ordering and equipment care.
• Utilize company tools and systems for scheduling, reporting and inventory.
