Job summary

LifeStance Health in Bloomfield Hills, MI is seeking a TMS Technician to provide direct care to patients undergoing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, under physician supervision. You will administer and manage the clinical services and perform routine office tasks as needed.

This full-time position starts at $21.75 per hour with quarterly bonus potential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Two or more years of related experience within a healthcare setting.
• BLS and CPR certified.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with exposure to some data management software.
• Experience with operating a medical/mechanical device.
• Strong communication skills and detail oriented.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Patient Communication and Coordination: Engage with patients to discuss TMS procedures and schedule consultations.
• Handle TMS-related calls, providing information and assistance.
• Assess eligibility for TMS and schedule initial consultation based on location.
• Contact patients and answer calls to schedule appointments.
• Address payment inquiries and facilitate collections.
• Engage with patients to discuss and resolve outstanding balances.
• Administrative Support and Appointment Management: Review and organize insurance information.
• Gather patient information, document, submit and manage prior authorizations.
• Ensure new patient paperwork is complete and uploaded to the chart.
• Send and accept patient forms via EHR.
• Coordinate care with internal and external clinicians.
• Exercise good judgement and professionalism.
• Patient Interaction & Equipment Upkeep: Use high tech TMS equipment (training provided).
• Engage with patients during treatment sessions and keep them comfortable.
• Ensure the TMS chair is clean and disinfected between patients.
• Maintain a well-organized clinic prep and workflow.
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within the assigned region may be required to provide coverage.
• Travel within region to market TMS services to providers, centers and hospitals.
