Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Nashville, TN, is seeking a TMC Operations Manager to lead daily Transportation Management Center activities on-site at the client site.

You will manage operations staff, coordinate shift coverage, and ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and industry standards. The role involves incident management participation, interagency coordination with Tennessee DOT, performance reporting, and ongoing SOP/training material updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in Transportation Operations, Public Safety, Incident Management, Dispatch Operations, or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide formal training to and monitor performance of subordinates.
• Skilled in the use of Windows operating system.
• High level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Operations staff and resources; handle scheduling for second and third shifts.
• Ensure operations align with SOPs, policies, and industry standards.
• Participate in Incident Management meetings and interagency coordination.
• Coordinate with Tennessee DOT motorist assist providers and dispatch operations.
• Prepare monthly performance reports for Operators and Shift Leaders.
• Hire, promote, evaluate staff and oversee training and certification.
• Ensure adequate Operator staff coverage.
• Assist with public relations activities and internal meetings.
