Job summary

The South Carolina DMV is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist III to support customers at the Charleston DMV Branch Office. You will examine, process and issue licenses, IDs, registrations, titles, and related documents, interact with banks and dealers, administer knowledge tests, and ensure compliance with SC laws.

A high school diploma, clerical experience, and a background check are required; relocation within 30 miles may be needed. Join a team focused on customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• Must complete CDL trainer course and examination prior to CDL knowledge tests.
• Nationwide criminal background check including fingerprints required before certification.

Responsibilities

• Examine, accept, prepare, enter and print documents for licenses, permits, IDs, registrations and titles.
• Interact with business customers (banks, lienholders, dealerships) for licensing and insurance issues.
• Process motor vehicle registrations and research suspension inquiries.
