Job summary

North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking a Processing Agent I to ensure title and registration inspections are performed per NC statutes. You will deliver exceptional service, review documents for accuracy, detect fraud, handle payments, and manage address changes and certified records.

We value experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, strong communication, and meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, good customer service, and ability to explain processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to the general public in all areas of vehicle registration.
• Examine titles and registrations for accuracy.
• Detect fraudulent, altered, or suspicious documents and handle payments/refunds.
• Cancel title records, complete address changes and process certified records.
• Utilize the STARS program to complete work assignments.
