The State of North Carolina - Department of Transportation seeks a Program Coordinator I to provide exceptional customer service at the Raleigh Central Services Office by assisting customers with vehicle registrations, title transactions, and issuing NC credentials. Strong knowledge of NC General Statutes and agency policies is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with PC and mainframe database systems.
• Experience recording, compiling, summarizing & analyzing data.
• Experience examining titles and reviewing information to ensure compliance with laws, rules, or regulations.
• Experience explaining and interpreting policies, regulations, & programs; and balancing a cash drawer.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers with vehicle registrations, title transactions, and issuance of NC credentials.
• Apply NC General Statutes, policies, and procedures related to motor vehicle titles and registrations.
• Issue official, special, and personalized license plates per requirements.
• Process requests for crash reports and provide access to driving records while protecting privacy.
• Accept and process payments for penalties, fees, and other transactions.
• Provide accurate, courteous service while ensuring transactions comply with laws and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned to support unit operations.
