Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) in Charlottesville, Virginia, invites applications for a Full-Time Title IX Investigator. The role conducts investigations under Title IX, drafts formal reports, maintains confidentiality, and coordinates with counsel, parents, and school staff.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience in education, HR, law, or compliance, with strong writing and investigative skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in education, HR, law, compliance, or related fields.
• Experience with investigations or handling confidential information preferred.
• Ability to interview witnesses and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and documents investigations concerning complaints of sexual harassment, misconduct, and protected class discrimination involving students, employees, and third parties.
• Writes clear, detailed, unbiased reports of investigative findings.
• Acts as an impartial party in conducting prompt, thorough investigations.
• Schedules and conducts interviews with parties, witnesses, parents/guardians, administrators, interpreters, and attorneys.
• Keeps thorough records related to investigations and maintains confidentiality.
• Attends Title IX-related training as required.
• Supports Title IX compliance as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.
