Job summary

Alexandria City Public Schools is seeking a Student Services - Coordinator to lead Title IX compliance and equity initiatives. The role oversees investigations of discrimination and harassment, coordinates with Human Resources and equity teams, and ensures data management and reporting in a 240-day, 12-month licensed position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, public administration, criminal justice, public policy, civil rights or related field.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in educational leadership, conflict resolution, and/or K-12 experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator, coordinating updates with HR and Student Services & Equity.
  • Lead intake, triage and assessment of Title IX reports to determine next steps.
  • Conduct impartial investigations and maintain evidence files per legal standards.
  • Draft objective investigative reports and present findings to decision-makers.
  • Facilitate informal resolution processes when appropriate.
  • Manage Title IX case management system and ensure records retention for seven years.
  • Stay current on Title IX, civil rights, ADA, Section 504, IDEA regulations.
  • Provide oversight to 504, IDEA, FOIA and FERPA compliance procedures and grievances.
  • Consult with administrators, faculty and counselors to ensure compliance and remedial actions.
  • Maintain professional learning, update resources and liaise with state/federal equity bodies.
