Job summary

Mid City McAndrew Motors is seeking a Title & Registration Processor to manage pre-owned vehicle title transfers, registrations, and related documents in Texas and across states. You will verify VINs, issue license plates, ensure compliance with TxDMV laws, and coordinate with dealerships and tax offices while handling cash and reporting.

Experience with government titles and inventory data entry into spreadsheets is preferred, and the role requires strong attention to detail and multitasking in

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in processing Motor Vehicle Title Registrations in Texas and the other 49 states.
• 2–5 years’ experience processing Boat & Utility Title Registrations in Texas and the other 49 states.
• Proficient in Google Suite (email, doc, & Sheets)
• Great communication skills
• Being able to multitask

Responsibilities

• Process title transfers and registrations for vehicles, boats, trailers, and RVs.
• Verify VINs, odometer readings, and required legal documents.
• Issue license plates, validation stickers, and state receipts.
• Research and apply TxDMV laws and state tax rules.
• Coordinate lienholders payoffs and verify tax documentation.
• Balance cash drawers and process tax, title, and license payables.
• Maintain logs of title work and missing documents.
• Liaise with dealerships, financial institutions, and customers.
• Prepare periodic management and county reports.

Title & Registration Processing:

• Process pre-owned vehicle title transfers and registrations, including Boats & Trailers, Recreational Vehicles. Proficient in completing Out of State registrations and recording reassignments on Out of State Titles in web Dealer & Out of State Counties.
• Verify Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), odometer readings, and supporting legal forms
• Issue license plates, validation stickers, and state receipts

State & Law Compliance

• Research, interpret, and apply TxDMV and Texas State Comptroller laws
• Coordinate lienholder payoffs and verify financial/tax documentation
• Ensure all paperwork complies with state and federal guidelines

Financial & Cash Management

• Calculate, collect, and disburse state fees, sales taxes, and local charges. As well as communicating with out-of-state tax offices and making sure the taxes collected is correct.
• Balance cash drawers, daily receipts, or accounting schedules (such as tax, title, and license payables) Recordkeeping & Communication
• Maintain logs of outstanding title work and missing documentation
• Liaise with local dealerships, financial institutions, and walk-in customers
• Compile periodic reports for management or county offices

Misc

• A Good Working Knowledge of Government Titles (GSA), Auctions, & Insurance Auctions. Organizing the workflow of reassigning Government Titles and Data Entry into our google sheet & inventory software.
• Anything else that your team lead (manager) assigns having to do with office filing, copying, and much more.
