Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools is seeking a part-time, hourly tutor to support math and reading for identified Title I students in elementary and middle grades.

You will collaborate with classroom and Title I teachers, keep accurate records of student progress, and provide support for Title I family night events, while using digital learning platforms and communicating clearly with children and adults.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credit hours.
• Experience with elementary and middle school children from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with teaching/tutoring in math and/or reading.

Responsibilities

• Provide math and reading support using evidence-based supplemental curricular supports for identified Title I students including supplemental instruction.
• Collaborate with classroom and Title I teacher.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and interactions.
• Provide support for Title I families and Title I family night events.

• Experience with teaching/tutoring in math and/or reading desired.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to communicate clearly with children and adults.
• Ability to use technology in a professional setting including digital learning platforms

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide math and reading support using evidence-based supplemental curricular supports for identified TI
  students including supplemental instruction
• Collaborate with classroom and Title I teacher
• Keep accurate records of student progress and interactions
• Provide support for TitleI families and TitleI family night events

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Demonstrate mastery of whole number, fractions, decimals, and percentages in computations

REASONING ABILITY
