QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 60 college credit hours.
  • Experience working with elementary and middle school children of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with teaching/tutoring in math and/or reading desired.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with children and adults.
  • Ability to use technology in a professional setting including digital learning platforms
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide math and reading support using evidence-based supplemental curricular supports for identified TI students including supplemental instruction
  • Collaborate with classroom and Title I teacher
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and interactions
  • Provide support for TitleI families and TitleI family night events
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Demonstrate mastery of whole number, fractions, decimals, and percentages in computations
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
  • Implement and enforce school procedures, rules and the AAPS Rights and Responsibilities guidelines
  • Demonstrate initiative in handling situations
  • Demonstrate leadership
  • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
