Job summary

Sam's West in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Tire & Battery Center team member to uphold safety standards and keep the TBC area stocked and merchandised. You will assist members with tire and battery services, scheduling, and recommendations using Sam’s Garage.

You will engage customers to identify needs, guide purchases, and support service throughput while maintaining accurate transactions and a positive member experience. Training and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Auto service industry and retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety standards on the sales floor and in the Tire & Battery Center (TBC) by following policies and reporting hazards.
• Keeps the TBC stocked, organized, zoned and merchandised per company policies, including handling of claims and damages.
• Assists members with tire and battery services, scheduling installations, and providing expert product recommendations.
• Greets members, identifies needs, and helps with purchasing decisions using Sam’s Garage and product knowledge.
• Drives sales by communicating value of merchandise and collaborating with the team to promote TBC offerings.
• Triages service workflow, prioritizes appointments, and coordinates with technicians to meet service needs.
• Operates POS and handles payments, returns, and exchanges per policy.
• Demonstrates integrity, teamwork, and adherence to ethics and company standards.
