Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking a Tire & Battery Center team member to maintain safety standards, organize the sales floor, and assist members with tire and battery services. You will manage order queues, coordinate installation appointments, and advise customers using Sam’s Garage and product knowledge.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, accurate merchandising, and cross-functional collaboration with club staff to promote TBC offerings.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility and sales floor safety and standards by adhering to safety policies and procedures, including safety sweeps, forklift handling, hazardous materials handling, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Ensures Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised per policies, including handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
• Presents and maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up displays, cleaning, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile items.
• Monitors tire and battery orders daily and assists members with installation appointments, communicates lead times and cancellations, and suggests alternatives.
• Assists members with tire maintenance and repair services and provides expert member service and recommendations using Sam’s Garage and warranties information.
• Drives sales and service excellence in the TBC by valuing service, promoting offerings, and collaborating with club associates.
• Triages service workflow in TBC bays and prioritizes appointments to maximize efficiency and meet service needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety, TPMS, product specs, POS systems, and selling techniques; uses digital tools to plan sales and improve service.
• Serves as a brand advocate, develops team members, and mentors others while addressing roadblocks.
• Provides products and services to Members per policies, processes payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
