Job summary

Aerotek in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for our aerospace manufacturing team. You will produce high-quality welds on thin-gauge stainless steel components, read blueprints and welding specifications, and ensure precision in a quality-driven environment.

This full-time, contract-to-hire role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (3:00 PM–12:00 AM) with pay between $25 and $30 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience.
• Experience welding thin stainless steel sheet metal preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, weld inspection, and fabrication techniques.
• Aerospace, aviation, or other precision manufacturing experience preferred.
• AWS welding certifications, including AWS D17.1 or equivalent, are a plus.

Responsibilities

2nd Shift TIG Welder

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our growing aerospace manufacturing team in Fort Myers. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on thin-gauge stainless steel components used in precision assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong TIG welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work from blueprints and welding specifications in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on thin-gauge stainless steel and other specialty metals.
• Fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify metal components to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and manufacturing process documents.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality standards.
• Utilize fixtures, jigs, clamps, and measuring tools to maintain precision and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
