Job summary

Hotwire Communications Ltd is seeking a Tier II Engineer to ensure network, data, video, voice and application environments run at peak performance. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to alerts, provisioning new services with field techs, and creating incident tickets for exceptions.

This role requires strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios), and customer-facing problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Experience in a cable provider environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alerts from monitoring tools per procedure.
• Troubleshoot level 1 incidents and escalate as needed.
• Detect outages and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Monitor production network to ensure availability.
• Install new services with field technicians.
• Coordinate onsite dispatch of vendor repairs.
• Answer customer calls and take corrective actions per policy.
• Maintain health checks of systems.
