Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 Network Administrator to support enterprise network operations across routers and switches, performing upgrades, configurations, and problem resolution. You will coordinate with the Network Operations Center and site staff, draft SOPs, and contribute to outage reports while maintaining security requirements.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility, CCNA and IAT II, and hands-on experience with BGP/OSPF, Cisco ISE, and TACLANES.

Qualifications

TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience OR a Master's with 3+ years OR a PhD with 1+ years; 4 years may be substituted for degree.
Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, or 802.1x).
Experience with Cisco ISE.
Knowledge of KG-175 TACLANES configuration, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network devices.
Active IAT Level II Certification.
Active CCNA Certification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Network Operations Center and staff to address break fixes, config updates, and upgrades.
Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches.
Draft SOPs for network operations.
Conduct root cause analyses and incident resolution.
Support site surveys and engineering data calls.
Assist in installation and technical refresh projects.
Provide independent engineering and problem solving in remote locations.
Perform network ticket resolution and closure with NOC.
