Job summary

Astor & Sanders Corporation in the Reston, VA area is seeking a Tier 2 Windows Support Specialist to join our onsite IT team. The role provides hardware and software support for Windows and Mac desktops and printers, with emphasis on resolving complex incidents.

Candidates should have 3+ years of related experience, a CompTIA A+ Apple support certificate preferred, and strong problem-solving, documentation and communication skills. The salary range posted is $50,000–$64,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience.
• 6 months experience with a vocational technical school certificate (CompTIA A+ Apple support) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent documentation, collaborative and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware and software support for Windows and Mac desktops and laptops.

• Use computer images to install and configure laptops and PCs.
• Ensure latest approved BIOS and patches are applied to PCs and laptops.
• Support users with file shares and permissions issues.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50000- 64000 annually. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, candidate skills and education, geographical location, certifications, and business needs, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range. This salary range represents Astor's good-faith estimate of compensation for the position at the time of posting.
