Job summary

Heartland Community Health Center – Lawrence, KS is seeking an IT Support Specialist Tier 2 to maintain and improve our clinical and business IT systems. The role serves as an intermediate resource between front-line support and senior IT staff, providing application support, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of IT experience, familiarity with healthcare information systems (eCW preferred), and strong Microsoft 365 skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting software implementations, upgrades, or workflows is preferred.
• Experience with healthcare IT systems (eCW or similar) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and business apps; EHR/PM systems experience is a plus.
• 2–4 years in information systems or related IT environments preferred.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combinations considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate IT support for clinical, business, and organizational apps and systems.
• Trip between Heartland locations and assist during after-hours maintenance when needed.
• Train users on applications, workflows, and system functionality.
• Follow HIPAA and security practices; document configurations and incidents.
• Assist with data reporting, queries, audits, and user access tasks.
• Coordinate IT projects, testing, documentation, and communications.
