The City of Virginia Beach is seeking a friendly Box Office Clerk for the Convention Center to greet patrons, sell tickets, collect payments, and provide accurate event information. You will use POS and ticketing software, reconcile cash, and assist with crowd management for large events.

• 6 months experience handling cash or cashless payments using a POS.
• Face to face customer service experience.
• Computer proficiency (i.e. internet, email, MS Office products).
• Experience using computerized ticketing systems and selling tickets.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patrons at Convention Center Box Office.
• Accurately process sale of public admission tickets and collect payments.
• Accurately reconcile large sums of transactions.
• Operate POS, credit card machine, computerized ticketing system, calculator, computer, multi-function device.
• Provide accurate event and visitor information to guests.
• Direct patrons to the correct room/hall in the building hosting ticketed event.
• Work with Duty Managers, Security, EMT, and Police with crowd management.
• Wear uniform provided in accordance with Convention Center policies.
• Report all completed work to the Box Office Supervisor and/or Account Clerk Supervisor.
