City of Virginia Beach’s Convention and Visitors Bureau seeks a dynamic Sales Manager to drive meeting and convention sales in national and government markets. You will manage RFPs, coordinate citywide opportunities, and represent the city at industry events.

The role requires a proven track record in destination sales, strong negotiation skills, and ability to work with stakeholders to close contracts. Normal schedule is M-F with some travel, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or business and 3 years of destination group sales experience or equivalent (7+ years total in related fields).
• Experience selling to association/government markets and large hotels.
• Experience with CRM systems and site inspections.

Mansioni

• Sell City of Virginia Beach for meeting/convention opportunities to national association and government markets.
• Manage RFP process with hotels, venues, restaurants, and attractions to deliver timely proposals.
• Generate new accounts and leads; plan sales missions and trade shows; conduct site inspections.
